I have been listening to both "Public Image" and "Second Edition" non-stop for the last week and I cannot shake the feeling that Lydon and company got too close to edge by the second album to continue as a regular rock group. No wonder Wobble and Levene left. Lydon could not face up to the challenge he both offered and accepted by being the artist he was. He got tired of trying and had to settle for the very legend that he was trying to get away from. What a waste...
